When she is murdered in the early series, they clearly show the killer from the Black Organization, and she mentioned about her sister (Haibara) too in there. She is already haibara sister, the very first time she introduced in the series.

To repair the storyline, The Black Organization: One Billion Yen Robbery Case was written with a similar ending to the manga version.

lol, i have re-watched all episodes, yes all including every fillers, atleast 3 times becuase i have a habit to watch DC episodes while having breakfast, lunch, Dinner and tea snacks...its like i am addicted to DC which is a good addiction :)) i'm hardcore DC lover :D
EDIT: Forgot to told i have also re-watched all OVAs, Movies, Specials, Kaitou Kids, basically every episodes/specials which includes DC character or Conan. Even re-watched Zero No Tea Time...now don't dare to think that i'm a freeloader, lol...i'm actually Data analyst with high income. its just that i have been watching from last 10 years..every single day.. :D

I like some of modern anime though, and still rewatching this series sometimes. Don't assume every single people that like modern anime is not this series fans.

that even films from other anime like naruto, bleach, mha etc can never accomplish

alot of dc films were released outside of japan thats why its on $ unlike darkest nightmare that grossed ¥6 billion
same goes for those $7-20 million naruto films
and $30 million mha films
and lets not pretend that western releases is a huge market compared to japan/asia
only few ip has huge market share on western shores
most of manga sales and films grossed are from japan/asia

a weird and amazing fact: DC movie the darkest nightmare defeated Avengers's collection in japan by miles..people chose to watch DC movie over Avengers.. a LOT of actually.

Personally I don't necessarily think Wakasa-sensei is an enemy. She's involved somehow, that much is obvious. But I think her angle is more concerned with Haneda's murder.

Did anyone find it strange that she left a note for Ai in a time capsule instead of just giving it to her? Esp since she thought that Ai would move to another country. I know it's to further the plot, but it just doesn't make sense for the sister to "hide" it in such an inconvenient place.

If the Detective Boys weren't there, they would've never seen the box. The former students would have no idea where to send the message. And Ai would've never gotten it.

I love canons, but sometimes other details fall to the wayside to push the plot forward.

So Haibara's mother used the term "silver bullet" - just like Vermouth?!
